The Tigers game against the Toronto Jr Canadiens on Sunday January 26th originally scheduled to be played at Scotiabank Pond in Toronto, has been relocated to Ray Twinney in an exciting return of the Battle of Yonge Street that the league hasn’t seen since the 2018-19 season.
The Battle of Yonge Street is the OJHL’s biggest and fiercest rivalry between Aurora and Newmarket, with both teams playing 5.1 kilometers away from each other. With Newmarket having relocated to Milton in the 2019-20 season, there hasn’t been a Battle of Yonge Street since the 2019 OJHL Playoffs.
This game proves to be an exciting matchup, with the Tigers returning to their arch rivals arena for the first time since 2019.
